The paper highlights the computational power of swarming models (i.e., stigmergic mechanisms) to build collaborative support systems for complex cognitive tasks such as facilitation of group decision processes (GDP) in e-meetings. Strategic Management Simulations: the German Case

This chapter initially considers the rationale and potential value of games and simulations for managerial and executive assessment. Several shortcomings of existing techniques are discussed. In contrast, characteristics of the Strategic Management Simulations (SMS) are described in terms of applicability, reliability, construct validity, predictive validity and other factors. This chapter provides validity information about a German version of the SMS system via a case analysis procedure with two German samples.

A new approach to the identification of cognitive conflicts in the repertory grid: A nomothetic study

Abstract Two separate but related investigations are reported. In the first, a score was derived from a construct correlation matrix obtained by grid data processing. This score, the Correlation Test (CT) score, expresses the percentage of unbalanced triads in the construct correlation matrix and is considered to assess logical inconsistency. Occupational cognitive complexity and episodic memory in old age

The aim of this study was to investigate occupational cognitive complexity of main lifetime occupation in relation to level and 15-year change in episodic memory recall in a sample of older adults (≥ 65 years, n = 780). We used latent growth curve modelling with occupational cognitive complexity (O*NET indicators) as independent variable.
